1:00 AM: Rain Approaching

northeast8An area of moderate rain and thunder is currently over central NJ, slowly moving east towards NYC. Rain totals are generally expected to remain under 1/4 inch as the rain continues to spread east into NYC and western Long Island/CT over the next 1-2 hours while weakening. This area of rain should dissipate within the next few hours as it continues to push east. Additional scattered storms are expected again on Thursday and especially on Friday ahead of an approaching cold front.
