[notice]Due to a busy schedule, brief updates will be posted today and tomorrow. The next full update will be posted on Thursday, August 1.[/notice]
Seasonable temperatures are expected to continue on Wednesday with highs in the low-mid 80s and partly sunny skies. A wave of low pressure will move through on Thursday and Thursday night, producing widespread showers and thunderstorms, which may be capable of producing heavy rainfall over 1-2″ and localized flash flooding. Cooler temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s are expected.
Behind the low pressure, drier conditions should return for Friday with highs in the low to mid 80s, but with a trough setting up over the region below average temperatures are expected for the weekend into early next week, with highs ranging from the mid 70s inland to the low 80s near NYC, and overnight lows in the 50s away from NYC and the coast. A slow warm up is likely towards mid-late next week with an increased risk of showers but with heat staying out of the forecast through early August.
